Mission
B Local Boston connects, builds trust, and fosters collaboration among certified B Corps and their employees. We use our collective resources to drive positive impact and provide leadership in our communities by using Business as a Force for Good.
Vision
We endeavor to create a community of Certified B Corps that look to each other for mutual support and personal connection, drive change on a local level while part of a global movement, grow our businesses, and contribute to a shared and durable prosperity for all.
What is a B Local?
B Locals exist to create connections, increase the positive impact of their B Corp community, and raise awareness of the B Corp Movement.
At the core of every B Local are Certified B Corporations — for-profit companies using the power of business to transform the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. B Locals exist to create connections, increase the positive impact of their B Corp community, and raise awareness of the B Corp Movement.
B Local communities are most commonly led by volunteer boards that work closely with the B Lab team. B Local Leaders serve as shepherds of their local B Corp communities – often organizing events, providing learning opportunities for companies and people in their region. B Locals also partner with regional nonprofit organizations for volunteer service events or other like-minded business groups to co-host events, which helps offset costs.
